Do which languages do you speak? Which is your native tongue or which do you speak better? Do you ever find yourself saying phrases in your non-native tongue?
I speak both English and spanish but my native tongue is English bc it was the first I spoke and I speak it more fluently than Spanish.
I do randomly speak Spanish when I feel like it or on impulse to another's action. It's weird when I do say something in Spanish as a reaction and my friends don't understand and make a comment... -
I speak English, French and a tiny bit of Japanese. My native tongue is English. I am still learning French so I'm not awesome at it yet. I only know a tiny bit of Japanese from anime.
I sometimes randomly speak French and Japanese. My friends and family know French so that's fine. But my parents don't know I watch anime, so they don't know that I know Japanese. So it's kind of awkward. -
Well, English is a given, and I'm currently trying to learn French. French is...slightly difficult, but I really want and need to learn it in order to visit some places I want to go, and also see if I could do some work as a translator. It's the language I'm putting most of my focus on currently.
I have a solid beginner's knowledge of Japanese, and I can understand quite a bit of Spanish though I don't produce it all that well. Then there's my knowledge of a few words and phrases in many other languages, but I am not yet completely fluent in a language other than English. It's one of my dreams to learn languages successfully, but it's going to take a lot of work, practice and motivation on my end to that. -
Luna, XD
It's all bc of anime. Well at least you have someone to help you with French.
Anastasia, it's my goal to learn a few languages too before I die. But, I'm slowly working on Italian.
Its cool how both of you are learning these languages on your own. (Japanese seems too difficult for me. At most, I can tell the difference btwn Japanese and Chinese when someone is speaking it.)
I wish you good luck. -
Thanks, you too. :3 Italian is a beautiful language. Japanese is pretty difficult, though at one point I surrounded myself in it quite a bit. As of now I plan on having at least an intermediate level of skill in French by the end of the year. I'm sure we'll all do great~.

japanese, and some spanish.
-
Thank you :)
Good luck to you too!
I only know bits and pieces of Japanese. Plus I'm learned a couple of basic words on my own. Yep, it's always anime. XD
French we learn at school starting in grade 4. So I am pretty good at French. -
My native languages is French, Italian, Spanish, Japenese, and English.
-
English is my first language. I have a pretty good grasp on Spanish and German. I'm working on perfecting these languages though so I'll be above a general conversation level. I understand when being spoken to relatively fine though. I'm going to take Japanese classes in a few months. I tried approaching it on my own but it's just so alien to my western tongue .-.
-
Spanish was my first language and my other tongue is.English. I speak Spanish better than I write it but understand it much more quicker than English, therefore it's easier for me to translate Spanish to English than vice versa. I usually will mix up some words and speak Spanglish accidentally, or I will accidentally go.off in rants in Spanish.

Eh I speak a little bit of Swedish but I mainly just type it, I don't speak it that often so idk
