Thread Topic: Quadruple the wait period for newbies.
-
Instead of 30 seconds between posts, how about two minutes?
-
No, that would be way too much. Plus, the thing with the O.C's....they're in alot of threads. You shouldn't do that to the O.C's. It's not a good idea. And not all newbies are irresponsible. 30 seconds is fine.
-
I fully support this motion.
-
And novices a minute as it only takes 1 quiz to get there.
-
I don't think all newbies should be punished, we just need to take care of the spammers and trolls specifically when they appear.
-
I know that spamming is really annoying but, waiting for longer than 30 seconds is way too long for me
-
I think the time is fine, it's just that certain users are abusing their "power"
-
That would result in outrage from every single newbie and novice on here. Despite the fact that it would be helpful in preventing trolling and spamming, we can't punish dozens of newer users just because there was a few difficult newbies and novices. Also, 3/4 of the most active users on here have O.C.'s. Most O.C.s are newbies and novices...it just wouldn't work.
-
Over 90% of newbs are trolls or leave in less than a week.
I still support this motion. -

Hey, I know how to solve this problem. Let's just get some damn mods already!
-
Ssays you, geek. You're the one who was gonna tell the troll how to post every 6 seconds e.e
-
Imagine when you first started as a newbie/novice. You find a cool new site you like, meet new people and have fun. But if you had to wait two minutes at a time to post or reply on here, wouldn't that make things less enjoyable and you'd probably end up leaving? It's not fair to punish good users just because we have some dickheads around.
-
^I agree.

Okay then... how about this:
Newbies can only make a maximum of a certain amount of threads until they can only post in threads. This can prevent spammers from filling the forums with useless threads.
