Since GTQ Guy is rarely here, we should have moderators to help keep the forums a more safe place but to making sure the moderator uses their powers wisely.

That's not a bad idea, but what about the drama that can happen when there are moderators? People argue about whether the moderator is being fair, etc.
What does everyone think? -
The subject of moderators has been brought up before. Drama will happen no matter what. Moderators could bring a little order to the site in times like that.

Moderators shouldn't be known by other users. You email the moderators and ask them if they want to do it, and if they say yes you fill them in on what to do. If there's something you need to know, they email you

I'd suggest that old members be monitors, since we have more experience + the newer members tend to cause most of the drama anyways. Moderators would also have to be online on a regular basis.
I'd suggest having an application process.
And like I've said before, before any of us could ban someone or whatever, we'd need to get the agreement/vote of the other moderators. That way, none of us would feel too powerful.
Overall I believe it is a good idea, and will make your job a bit easier GTQ Guy. -
Yea, older users would make excellent moderators. Just think about it GTQ Guy

As Alice said, you could have a certain amount of moderators have to agree to do anything permanent. For example, two thirds of the moderators would have to agree to ban someone?

I have an idea of some moderators.
Portion 1 = Filtering quizzes, making sure nothing is wrong with them, check for junk text and text talk, inappropriate questions/answers, etc.
Portion 2 = Filtering threads, making sure there's no drama, the comments/posts are alright and not offensive or inappropriate, etc. -
If that happens then I call Portion 2 (assuming that I would become a moderator) because I'm on the forums more often. xP

Since I'm on the forums more often than I'm making quizzes, I would like to be put into Portion 2. It doesn't matter what portion I'm in, though, I just wanted to be a moderator. :B

It would be cool, but I agree that we need several moderators and a general vote for more serious things, if we do this. We don't want one user's bias to get another banned.
