Thread Topic: So, I want some advice

SlimShadyy NewbieI used to be on this site a long time ago, but don't ask who I am. I'm not telling. I had sex May 23rd for the first time. I've been dating this guy for 2 years on and off and it was a long distance relationship (You guys can identify with those). So everything was good until he went home 2 days later. Now he's not texting me back very much and he just seems unhappy with me in general. Do you think he would just "play" me for 2 years to have sex with me, or do you think he just lost feelings for me coincidentally after that day? And should I fight to stay in the relationship since I love him a lot, or should I give him up so he can have a chance to work on stuff and possibly come back? And yes guys, this is serious. This isn't a troll thread.

If I were in your situation, I would give the relationship just a few more weeks to see if things get better. If they don't then you should break up/ Maybe he just needs some space.

You can't rule out that he's been playing you this whole time, but I'd say it's quite unlikely. Yes, you two have dated on and off, but still two years is quite a long time. If a guy wanted sex just for the sake of sex, then he could have went and got it somewhere else, yet he stayed with you.
Having sex isn't just about the physical aspect, it's emotional as well. Your boyfriend is most likely going through some complex feelings after taking such an emotional step. He could feel used, disappointed, or inadequate. Whatever it is, just be supportive and encouraging, let him no your there for him no matter what, but don't suffocate him. In time, maybe his recent behaviour would start to make some sense.
I can't say if you two should separate for a while to work things out; every couple is different. Either way, if you love him, and you've been together this long he's worth fighting for I think.
Just be patient, understanding and empathic. Simple human kindness can go a long way. -
