  So my friend Peter and I are pretty close. We talk a lot in and out of school, and we've hung out a few times. But I've never really thought of him as more than a friend, and now he asked me out. I don't wanna hurt his feelings or make things awkward between us, but at the same time I don't really see him in a romantic way. I'm even kinda hesitant to invite him to hand out now, in case he takes it the wrong way. And advice on how I can tell him without offending him?

  If he is seriously interested in you, you WILL hurt his feelings no matter how you go about rejecting him; no one ever likes being rejected. But if he is only casually interested in you, he will probably take it.
  I hope he will understand; he's your friend afte all.
