You should've asked her out before she got a girlfriend. I mean, really, what do you expect us to do? Give you a time machine? Kill her boyfriend? Yeah, I'm sorry to tell you this, but most of us are human beings, not miracle workers.

Well, you've clearly missed your chance. If things don't work out between that girl and her boyfriend, then be there to comfort her. Then maybe you'll get somewhere.
