So if you have to move this, mods, I won't be hurt in the slightest.
But anyway
The word "gif" is currently having much controversy in my mind as to how it is pronounced.
Do you guys say it with a hard g or a soft g? Because I have always pronounced it "jif" but my mom insists it is "gif" with a "hard" g as in guacamole (first word that came to mind XD)
But if you say it that way it sounds too much like "gift" and I get confused
So how do you guys personally pronounce the word? -
I always called it gif with the hard g, but I'm not bothered either way. Jif makes me think of peanut butter. xD

Gif, hard g. I don't mind jif too much, but gif just sounds better imo. And as for the gift thing, I personally view it as giving someone a little animated gift, so it works out perfectly.
