You got pissed off because people have their own opinion?
-
fizzy0918 NewbieYeah I know. It just kind of happened. Wish I could take it back. I'm sorry guys. Especially to Emma.

Look, calm your tots. Something being in the Olympics does NOT garuntee it as a sport. Trampolineing was in the Olympics. Do you consider that a sport?
And, I know it takes still. I know it does. But I still think it is just an activity. Horse Back Riding, Gymnastics, Dancing, and Cheerleading; I STILL don't consider them sports. They take skill; I don't deny that. They do. But nonetheless I still don't consider them sports in my own opinion. -
fizzy0918 NewbieYeah. I think I was bored and started this thread so I can fight about it. We all have different opinions and I know that. I think it's a sport most of you think it's an activity. Whatever. I don't really care anymore...

Mkay, let the thread die then..

rockgirl08 Novicehorse back riding is classed as a 'high risk SPORT'. and it is classed as a sport but evrybody is intitled to their own opninions
-
And why did you bring this thread back?
-
fizzy0918 NewbieEveryone please let this thread die!! The argument is over!!! Thanks
-
@Emma But gymnastics is. So you put an activity and a sport together, what do you get?

Horse back rider Newbieok i m the only rider in my group of friends and family so i hear all the time riding is not a sport but if you think about it when you ride you need muscles, brains, and you need to be fit.
And yeah if you have never ridden before or have just started it is not a sport because you do not do much you learn fun facts and do games which is exercise but not and actual sport. For riding to be a sport you need to be riding at least 3 times a week. You do not need to do shows because the is just one day of your life and you are only riding for 1 or 2 minutes.
now the types of riding that are really a sport are show jumping, Cross country, eventing, endurance and especially dressage.
there are a bunch of videos on you tube that show bad riding, horse abuse and a bunch of other stuff but there are also tons of videos that show true riding.
Also if you think about it if you do horse back riding you need to tack up, groom and then here is washing the horse and his/her tack, clipping in the winter, and when they get hairy, cleaning the stalls (we don't all have to do this but i do so i put it in) yet with other sports there is just the person and the equipment
