Thread Topic: Would you consider this 'unhealthily skinny'?

Okay so, I've had a few people state the fact I look extremely skinny if not unhealthily skinny. I've always struggled with my weight and putting it on and have naturally been a very slim child growing up.
Right now, I am currently fourteen, height is around 5'5 and I weigh around 50kg.
While I'm quite aware that I am not as heavy as quite a lot of people my age, I personally don't think this is horribly underweight nor an unhealthy weight like others have said.
But yeah, are your thoughts? And what might be the best way to healthily put on more weight? -
Going off of a simple BMI calculation (BMI meaning body mass index, we use it a lot at the hospital) your BMI is about an 18.3 ish. Anything 17.9 and under is considered underweight, but anything between the range of 18.0 and 24.9 is considered a normal weight. Perhaps you're a bit on the skinnier side, but you're not too unhealthily skinny. You could probably gain a kg or two but as long as you don't loose too much you should be fine ^~^

some people just naturally weigh less, like you for example. And you probably have a body type that loses weight fast and doesn't put it on easily AKA an Ectomorph. So consider yourself healthy, just make sure you keep your diet reasonable so that your body gets the nutrients it needs.
