  Then that's not a mile because four laps around a football field is one mile.

  It's just I'm used to one full lap being a mile because my gum teacher always says so. :P

  I don't know about mile time on flat ground or treadmill, but I do about 3.4miles on hella hilly ground in 20 minutes.
  dividing the time between the miles it's 5 minutes 40 seconds. Averaging my pace that's about 10.2 mph.
