Maeve pouted dramatically.

Lavender rolled her eyes. She loved when Maeve was being over-dramatic.

Maeve huffed.

Lavender grinned. "Sorry-not-sorry."

Maeve chuckled. ‘Whatever.’

Lavender smirked.

Maeve laughed. ‘You’re adorable,’ she said before she could stop herself.

Lavender blushed. "I-thanks." She said awkwardly.

Maeve smiled awkwardly.

"Yo-you're really cute too." Lavender said nervously before immediately wanting to take it back. She looked down, figuring the possibility of falling and going ker-splat on the floor was less terrifying than what Maeve's reaction would be.

Maeve blushed bright red. ‘Th-thanks,’ she said quietly, fidgeting with her hands.

Lavender looked back at her after a moment. She looked so pretty when she was blushing- Oh my god she's literally royalty, that's a HUGE no no, even thinking that- Lavender looked back down. She would've buried her face in her hands and curled up into a little ball out of embarrassment if they weren't on a very tall tree.

Maeve looked down as well, swinging her legs to distract herself. Yeah, I definitely like her, she thought to herself, and frowned at her shoes. She didn't suppose there was anything wrong with that, but Lavender definitely didn't like her back, especially after how awkward she was.

Lavender definitely liked her back, no matter how much she wanted to act like she didn't. "So, that got awkward." She mumbled, wanting desperately for them both to forget that ever happened.

'Yeah,' Maeve mumbled.
