‘Y-Yes, please,’ Maeve said, wringing her hands nervously.

"Great! That'll be 5 dollars." She said before looking up at Maeve and noticing how nervous she was acting. "Are you alright?"

‘Yep, yep, I’m all good,’ Maeve said with a dorky grin, fishing into her pockets for money. ‘Um, I don’t know if this will be worth anything here. I only have money from The North.’ She set a few coins on the counter.

Lavender took three of the coins. "That's alright." She smiled. "Have a great day."

Maeve smiled and took the bag. ‘Thanks. You too.’

Lavender grinned. "Thanks." She said as Maeve walked off.

Maeve teleported out of the store.

Lavender raised her eyebrows. How odd. She hoped Maeve would come back at some point. She wanted to ask how she did that.

The next day, after raving to Chester about how pretty Lavender was, Maeve popped back into the bakery.

Lavender grinned once she did. The bakery was more crowded now, but not too bad. "How do you do that?"

‘Oh, the teleporty thing? It’s my power.’

Lavender raised her eyebrows. "How come you get to have a power?" She chuckled.

Maeve chuckled, walking to the counter. ‘It’s a genetic North Kingdom thing.’

"Lucky." Lavender grinned. "What would you like today?"

Maeve looked at the small display case, blushing lightly. ‘Um, croissant, please.’
