“Anything, honestly-“ Clay said, chuckling softly as he took another bite of the bread in his hand. “I could eat a whole cow, I’m that hungry~”

“I can make you a ham sandwich with lettuce, garlic, and honey,” George offered, bringing out his cutting board.

“f---, that sounds good~” Clay said with a chuckle, nodding.

“There’s a seat over there, if you want to sit,” George said politely, pointing to a random rocking chair across the kitchen. He grabbed a piece of meat, starting to slice thin slices of it.

“Got it, thanks,” Clay said with a small smile, nodding as he walked over to the chair and sat down. “Sorry to make you go through the trouble of making me something-“

“It’s alright,” George shrugged. “It’s my job. And I like my job.”

Clay smiled a little, nodding. “Your name’s… George, right?” He asked, furrowing his brows a little as he thought for amoment

“Yes,” George answered simply, focusing on slicing the meat.”

“How long have you been head chef, George?” Clay asked, humming softly as he crossed his legs in his seat and began eating some of the grapes he’d stolen.

“Only a year or so,” George said with a shrug, grabbing two slices of bread and setting the ham to the side.

Clay hummed softly, nodding. He watched as George made the sandwich, eating a few grapes.

George spread some honey on the bread, adding some lettuce and the sliced ham. He put the other piece of bread on top, putting it on a plate and walking over to hand it to Clay.

“s---, that looks tasty as hell~” Clay said with a chuckle, taking the plate. “Thank you so much~”

George nodded, smiling softly. “Of course,” he said, bowing his head before he turned back to the counter as he started preparing to make dinner.

Clay took a bite of his sandwich, sighing softly. “Mm, so good,” he murmured with a smile, watching George for a moment.
