Clay exhaled softly and leaned against George’s side, rubbing his face with his free hand. “I thought I was gonna hurl, honestly-“ He said, chuckling tiredly. “I think I just got so nervous, I made myself feel sick.”

“I thought you were gonna hurl too,” George said with a soft chuckle. “I’m glad you didn’t, though. Do you still feel sick?”

“A little, but- it’s not as bad as earlier,” Clay said, exhaling softly. “I think I just made myself sick with worry, y’know?”

“Yeah, that’s fair,” George said softly, nodding.

Clay nodded a little, exhaling softly.

“Do you want anything?” George asked softly. “I’ve got a sandwich if you want it.”

Clay grimaced, a sick look appearing on his face. “No, that might make me actually hurl right now,” he muttered resting his head on George’s shoulder.

“Did you have any of your dinner?” George whispered, resting his head against Clay’s.

“Yeah- My mom practically forced me to eat it all,” Clay muttered, his hands shaking again.

“Okay, yeah, it’s okay,” George said softly, squeezing Clays hand. “Why do you dislike eating so much? Is it like, a mental thing, or? You don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to-“

“I- I need some sort of c-control in my f---ing l-life-“ Clay spoke shakily, squeezing his eyes shut.

“Oh, right, sorry,” George said softly. “I- Clay, I don’t think it’s like, only that reason. I get you were probably panicking over your mom, too, but I think you might kinda use skipping meals as like… a punishment for yourself?”

“I-“ Clay exhaled shakily, knowing George was all too right about that. “M-Maybe a little…”

“Yeah, it’s okay to realize that, I’ve been there, Clay,” George whispered, rubbing his boyfriend hand with his thumb. “And I’ll help you. You’re not alone-“

Clay nodded, tears filling his eyes. He let go of George’s hand and hugged onto him, burying his face in his shoulder.
