(what r they gonna fight abt? like… maybe his mom tries to find out who his boyfriend is??)
-
(maybe, yeah- or like, she starts to notice george tends to deliver food to him often and thinks smth is going on, but then he just plays it off as he gets really hungry after and sam also like, tries to help him or smth?? idk)
-
(oh yuh okay)
The queen sat down with her husband, sitting properly in her chair. “Both of you- off your phones at the table.” -
Sam sighed, turning her phone off and setting it down. "Fine, fine," she whined, leaning back in her seat. Clay did the sam, shutting off his phone and pocketing it.
-
About thirty seconds later George strolled in with the servers behind him, who set the plates in front of each of them. “Good evening- for diner is chicken fajitas with assorted roasted vegetables. May I help you with anything else?”
-
"Can I get a soda? Anything is fine," Sam said, glancing over at George. Clay watched George for a moment with a small smile, looking away to stare at the food.
-
“Yeah, of course,” George said, moving to a small fridge on the wall, grabbing a canned sprite and bringing it over to Sam. “I have a question, George- do you topically bring food to people?” The queen asked, clasping her hands together. “Uh- sometimes, but it’s not really my job,” George replied with a soft smile.
-
Clay tensed, already sensing where this was going. f---, l can’t get caught now- I won’t lose him-
-
“I mean- well-“ George paused, trying to think. “If I’m not currently cooking and if a person of higher status requests it, I probably would.” “But, how often would you, would you say?” The queen said, giving George a curious look. “From time to time,” George said, feigning confusion. “It’s not rare.” “Well, if it’s only, as you say, time to time,” she paused, pressing her lips together momentarily. “Why do I see you delivering food to Clay’s wing… almost everyday?”
-
f--- f--- f---- “Well, uh, y’know-“ “Mom, the guy plays sports all the time,” Sam pointed out, taking a bite of her food, “so it’s no surprise he’d be eating often.”
-
“Okay? I’ve specifically told Clay not to eat at certain meal times,” The queen said, crossing her arms.
-
“Ma, you’re kind of overworking him, so it’s not surprising that he needs to eat more to get more energy,” Sam said, furrowing her brows. Clay looked down at his lap, his hands shaking nervously.
-
“Well, he should at least check with me, first,” She said, giving Sam a look.
-
“I- I mean, it’s just food-“ Clay spoke softly, lifting his head. “I don’t even ask for- for much, just usually a sandwich-“
-
“Still! Your trainer said you should only eat at set meal times,” She said. “Um- is it okay for me to go?” George said awkwardly. “No, stay right here, George,” The queen said sternly.
