Georgie flinched and looked over at the door, quickly putting their prosthetic on and climbing out of bed. They walked over to the door and opened it, eyes wide when they saw the king. “Y-Your Highness,” he spoke quickly, bowing respectfully.
-
‘Georgie Clark, by order of the King, you are no longer welcome in this castle. We want you gone within an hour,’ the king snapped.
Casimir watched the Narva sisters walk out of the dining hall. On the way out, Rose kissed his jaw. Casimir looked away. -
“W-What? You’re- you’re firing me?!” Georgie exclaimed, panic rising in their chest. “You- you can’t do that! I- This is my father’s job! We need this, we need the money!!”
-
‘Should have thought about that before you started your business with the prince. We don’t allow f*gs in this palace. You’re lucky the prince has chosen to marry,’ the king spat.
Casimir stormed to his room and flopped onto his bed, pulling the covers over his head. -
Georgie exhaled shakily, her hands clenching into fists. “You still cannot fire me, just because of my identity or sexuality- I need this job to support my family, sire,” they spoke shakily, anger rising in him.
-
‘I am the king, I can do whatever I want,’ he snapped, balling his fists. ‘Don’t make me make you leave by force.’
-
“Please, Your Highness,” Georgie begged, tears filling their eyes. “I need the money for my father’s medicine and to feed the rest of my family, I can’t lose his job-“
-
‘You think I care about that? Pack up your stuff and go. Now.’
-
Georgie exhaled shakily and nodded shortly, turning and going to pack up his things. He let out a quiet sob, his hands shaking as he started grabbing his clothes.
-
The king glared and left. ‘Make sure she leaves,’ he told a guard, then walked away.
-
Georgie dropped to the floor and paused packing, sobbing quietly into their hands. My life is over. I won’t be able to take of my father, I won’t be able to feed my family- And even worse, I’ve lost the love of my life… He exhaled shakily, rubbing their teary eyes.
-
Casimir buried his face in his hands. This was all his fault. If he hadn’t talked to Georgie this wouldn’t have happened. He curled up, trying not to think about Georgie, or his marriage to Rose. He tried not to think of what the Narva girls might do.
-
Georgie soon finished packing and left his room, exhaling shakily as he walked out of the castle and into the courtyard. He looked over at the large tree and left his things by his gardening tools, moving back to the tree and climbing up it. He gently opened the window, seeing Casimir curled up on the bed. “Cas-“
-
Casimir looked up at the sound of Georgie’s voice. He jumped up and hurried over to Georgie, pulling them into a hug. ‘God- I’m so sorry,’ he whispered, voice breaking as he buried his face into Georgie’s neck.
-
“It’s not your fault, baby-“ Georgie spoke shakily, tears rolling down their cheeks as they hugged Casimir close. “I’m s-sure I’ll figure something out…”
