‘Someone out for money from the press,’ Casimir said, shrugging. ‘People would pay good money for information like that on the prince.’
-
“Hm- Well, that’s not good,” Georgie said, frowning a little, “I mean, it’s your own private information, no one should be going through it-“
-
‘Well, reporters think otherwise. Y’know, there was a rumour going around I was gay, let me try and find it-‘ Casimir said with a chuckle, standing up and walking to a cabinet. He didn’t usually open up to strangers, but for some reason he felt more comfortable with Georgie.
-
“Oh, I remember hearing about that,” Georgie said, their face heating up a little as they tried to suppress the memories of them fangirl-ing and freaking out over the fact that they could’ve possibly had a chance with the prince.
-
(STOP THATS SO CUTE)
‘Heh, yeah. Apparently that’s such a controversy,’ Casimir said, looking through his collection of newspapers. He wrinkled his nose at a certain one and chucked it in the bin, then pulled out the one he was looking for. ‘They used the worst possible picture too!’ -
(xD realll)
“I mean, are you gay?” Georgie asked softly, looking over at Casimir. “Like, would it, y’know, necessarily be a bad thing?” -
Casimir paused. He stood back up and looked at the newspaper in his hands, then folded it up and set it on top of the cabinet. ‘I… don’t know, honestly. I don’t know. But I do know that if I was, and the public found out, it’d be a huge controversy. And my parents would possibly lose all the little respect they have for me.’
-
“Hm, that’s understandable,” Georgie said with a nod. “I definitely wouldn’t appreciate people blasting s--- about my gender or sexuality, especially if it was made up. God, some people treat royalty like their some- some novelty or prize!” He exclaimed before quietly gasping, covering his mouth. “I’m so sorry, I-“
-
Casimir glanced at them, a little surprised by the sudden raise in his voice. He gave a dry chuckle and leaned against the wall. ‘You’re not wrong there,’ he said with a tired smile. ‘Why are you sorry?’ he asked.
-
“Sorry, I just uhm, I don’t really like raising my voice- Even if it’s not directed at someone,” Georgie spoke, chuckling nervously. “Just makes me feel like of bad, I suppose.”
-
Casimir chuckled quietly. ‘That’s fair. And I don’t mind, really, so long as it’s not me you’re yelling at,’ he said, watching Georgie curiously.
-
“Oh, never! I- I mean, why would I yell at you? You’re a very nice person,” Georgie spoke, smiling warmly. “Plus, even if I did, wouldn’t you like, send me to the dungeons or something? Wouldn’t wanna risk that~”
-
Casimir gave a small smile. ‘I’m not a monster, Georgie,’ he said, rubbing the back of his neck. ‘If you ever shout at me it’ll most likely be for good reason. I hear I’m not a very nice person to interact with.’
-
“Well, up to this very moment, I haven’t felt otherwise,” Georgie said with a kind smile, running a hand through his short blonde hair.
-
Casimir’s smile widened slightly, looking back at them. ‘Thank you,’ he said quietly, fidgeting with his hands.
