Casimir pressed a soft kiss to their lips before standing up and pulling the blankets over Georgie. ‘Alright, I’ll be back soon.’

“Okay. I love you~” George spoke with a sleepy grin, yawning softly.

‘Love you too,’ Casimir said with a smile, walking to the door and gently shutting it behind him. He walked down the street to Georgie’s house and rang the doorbell.

The door opened and Rupert looked up, meeting Casimir’s eyes. “Your Highness,” he spoke, bowing a little with a surprised expression. “Did you need Georgie, because I thought they were with you?”

‘Ah, about Georgie-‘ Casimir said, rubbing the back of his neck. ‘I suppose you haven’t seen the paper, have you? Could you go grab your mother for me?’

“Uh, no I haven’t- What about the paper?” Rupert asked, furrowing his brows.

‘I’d prefer to tell your family all at once. Is your mother home?’ Casimir asked nervously.

“Yeah, she’s just in the kitchen- Come on in,” Rupert spoke, furrowing his brows as he stepped back.

‘Thanks,’ Casimir said, following him inside.

Rupert led Casimir into the kitchen, where his mother was washing dishes at the sink. She looked over, smiling. “Casimir, hello- I suppose I should call you King now, shouldn’t I~?” She said, giggling softly.

Casimir smiled slightly. ‘It’s okay, Casimir is fine,’ he said with a small chuckle. ‘U-Uh, I need to talk to you about something regarding Georgie.’

Georgie’s mother opened her mouth to speak, but Rupert best her to it. “What happened to Georgie?” He asked, furrowing his brows and crossing his arms.

Casimir ran his hands through his hair. ‘W-Well, you probably know I’m married to one of the princesses of Narva - against my will, we’re divorcing soon - and the two have some… issues. At my coronation I danced with Georgie instead of my wife, and my ex-girlfriend, my wife’s sister, got mad and attempted to, er, kill Georgie. They’re okay, just in hospital right now. And the princesses have been arrested.’

Georgie’s mother gasped softly, setting down the rag in her hand. “When did this happen?” She asked, holding her hands to her chest. “They tried to kill Georgie?!” Rupert exclaimed, anger rising in their voice. “How could you let that happen?!” “Rupert-“

Casimir exhaled shakily. ‘Two nights ago, at the afterparty of my coronation. Georgie was getting food and I was mingling with relatives at the time, but the two managed to corner them in the hallway and.. y’know. I got there before it was too late, and the girls have been arrested.’
