Mason laughed, snuggling closer.

Chris hummed softly, kissing the top of his head with a smile.

Mason blushed, letting him. ‘Do you have anything planned for today?’

“Mm, not really, no-“ Chris replied, humming softly.

‘Okay. Do you need to go visit your dad or something?’

“Right, yeah- I may do that after I drop the twins off at one of their friends’ place,” Chris replied, humming softly. “I don’t want them to worry about Dad-“

‘Do they know he’s in hospital?’ Mason asked.

“No, I didn’t wanna freak them out,” Chris murmured, exhaling softly.

‘You should tell them,’ Mason said softly.

“I know, I just- I didn’t want to scare them,” Chris murmured, exhaling softly.

‘I know. But they’re old enough to know. And they won’t like that you’re keeping it a secret.’

“I guess you’re right,” Chris replied, sighing. He exhaled and sat up, rubbing his eyes with his hand.

Mason gave a small smile.

“Guess I better go tell them,” Chris spoke softly, running a hand through his hair.

‘Yeah, c’mon. I’ll give you a kiss after or something.’
