"Got it," Chris replied with a smile, nodding. "When do you get off work again?"

Mason checked his watch. 'Uh, like, 6.'

"Same, actually- I'll meet you back here after I go home and change?"

'Sounds good,' Mason said, walking out in his uniform.

Chris smiled happily, moving over to Mason. "I'll see you later, then~" He said, pressing a kiss on his boyfriend's lips.

Mason blushed. ‘See you later,’ he said flusteredly.

"Bye, I love youuu~" Chris said with a chuckle, smiling and waving as he headed to the front door. He opened the door, walking out and heading to his car.

‘Love you too,’ Mason mumbled as Chris left. He grabbed a banana and ate it as he walked down the apartment building stairs.

Chris groaned softly as he stood at Mason's door, staring at a paper in his hand that had bright red letters stamped on it. I know this would happen soon, but not this soon- He thought as he rubbed his face with his hand, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment. He opened them again, knocking on the door gently. -
Mason opened the door. He was still wearing his uniform since he’d just got home. ‘Hey. You okay?’

"Hey," Chris spoke softly, nodding as he smiled tiredly at Mason. "Yeah, I'm- I'm all good," he said as he looked down at the paper in his hand, folding it up and pocketing it. "How was work, hun?"

Mason grinned, holding up a piece of paper. 'I got promoted!'

Chris gasped, a small smile appearing on his face. "Holy s---, babe, that's amazing!" He said with a tired smile, chuckling softly. He wrapped his arms around Mason's waist, kissing his cheek. "Congrats, hun~"
