“I know, right-“ Connor paused, chuckling awkwardly. “I just remembered, the uh, the boys know about us- I kinda let it slip.”

Evan grinned, chuckling a little. “What do they think? Hold up- they haven’t known you’re gay this whole time?”

“I mean, I told Finn when I talked to him that first day, but no, yeah, I- I didn’t say anything,” Connor said, chuckling. “I just didn’t think of it, I guess-“
(ngl, i forgot that whole thing happened- xD) -

“Mm, that’s fair,” Evan said with a chuckle. “Your kids sound pretty chill, honestly-“ -
“Do you not remember that little gift I got?” Connor said, laughing softly. “They’re definitely not chill.”

“Oh, yeah, that was so funny,” Evan said with a chuckle. “What I’m saying- is they don’t act like normal public schoolers, I guess? Like, they’re chill about you being bi- and are they okay with Finn?”

“Nah, that were chill about it- Oh, yeah! Finn came out to the others, and it went great,” Connor said with a smile, turning in his seat a little to face Evan.

“Aw, that’s awesome!” Evan said with a smile. “That must’ve been really hard for him, right?”

“Yeah, he was definitely nervous, but he did good,” Connor said with a smile, rubbing the back of Evan’s hand with his thumb. “The events leading up to it definitely didn’t help, either,” he added with an awkward chuckle, running his free hand through his hair.

“Events? What kind of events?” Evan asked with a curious chuckle, furrowing his brows.

“Well, we- We were heading down to the lake and Elliot tripped, hurting his knee,” Connor said, leaning against the chair and resting his head on the headrest, “and he said that he’d hurt in before, so I panicked a little- But I think he’s gonna be okay.”

“Oo, yeah, and knee injuries suck ass,” Evan said, frowning a bit. “Definitely check in on him every once in a while.”

“Yeah, I’ve been making sure he doesn’t overexert himself and stuff,” Connor said, gently squeezing Evan’s hand. “Then, Finn passed out at the lake because he overheated in his sweatshirt- To be fair, he said he was feeling really dysphoric and felt more comfortable in it, so it’s not totally is fault? Still, scared the s--- out of me-“

“Ooh, s---, yeah that’d scare me s---less too,” Evan said, frowning. “Poor kid- is he alright now?”

“Yeah, he’s doing good now, thank God,” Connor replied, nodding. “Took him to the medics, got him cooled down. Basically been shoving waters down his throat, making sure he’s drinking often.”
