‘Hey, no!’ Lawrence said, holding him tighter with a laugh. ‘No swimming!’

“Let me goooo, I want to go swimmm!” Briar exclaimed with a laugh, managing to break free of Lawrence’s hold and standing to his feet. He waltzed over to the edge of the lake, slipping off his boots and socks. He took off his button up and his trousers, wearing nothing but his undershirt and underwear. He stepped into the water, yelping at how chilly it was despite the warm sun beating down on it.

Lawrence blushed as he watched him. ‘Wha- Briar!’ he exclaimed, running after him, but his boyfriend was too far deep to retrieve without getting in himself. He groaned and took another swig of the wine, then ran after him and took off his boots and socks. ‘I swear to god, Briar, I’m not letting you hear alcohol when this is over.’

“You can’t stop me from doing anything~” Briar slurred, giggling as he moved a bit deeper into the water. He dropped down into the water and gasped, laughing as he ducked his head under for a moment. He came back up and ran his hands through his drenched hair, smiling drunkedly. “The water’s great~!”

Lawrence looked at his boyfriend in worry as the man dunked his head under water. ‘Oh my- Briar don’t do that!’ Lawrence exclaimed, quickly getting off his pants while keeping an eye on Briar. ‘If you don’t come back right now I’m coming to get you.’

“Then come get me, my knight in shining armor~!” Briar exclaimed, giggling. He swam backwards a little, moving to float on his back in the water. He squinted his eyes as he stared up at the sky, smiling with content.

Lawrence groaned and stepped in the water, in nothing but his underwear. ‘What is wrong with you?’ he complained, wading into the water and wincing at the cold. ‘Come here, you little weirdo.’

“Okayy~” Briar said with a giggle, standing back up in the water and wading over to Lawrence. He wrapped his arms around his neck and pulled him closer, kissing his lips.

Lawrence blushed. He groaned against the kiss, ‘Why are you like this..’ then kissed him back, arms moving to his waist.

Briar ignored Lawrence’s comment and let out a soft groan, leaning into his touch as he deepened the kiss further.

Lawrence let him deepen the kiss, but the cold water brought him back to reality. He broke the kiss and gently kissed Briar’s neck. ‘Come on, you’re gonna get sick if you stay in here any longer.’

“Boo, I wanna swim more~” Briar jokingly whined, giggling. “Getting sick is future Briar’s problem~”

‘It’s also future Lawrence’s problem. C’mon, we’re getting out,’ Lawrence chuckled, picking up Briar by the waist and carrying him back to the surface.

Briar yelped in panic for a moment before calming down, laughing as he clung to Lawrence. “I love you~” He said, wrapping his legs around his boyfriend’s hips and kissing his cheek.

Lawrence chuckled softly and kissed his jaw, bringing him to the surface. ‘f---, it’s cold,’ he muttered, shivering. He sat Briar down on the picnic blanket and put his own coat around him.
