Lawrence smiled. ‘Babe, I love you, but how many people have you told about me? In numbers?’

“Only a few, I promise,” Briar said softly, glancing up at Lawrence. “Just a few of my friends, that’s all- I- I just needed someone to talk to, I- I really missed you,” he murmured softly, leaning into his boyfriend’s side.

Lawrence held him close, rubbing his back with his thumb. ‘Okay,’ he murmured, kissing his cheek. ‘And how did you describe me, since most of the people here thought I was nonexistent?’ he asked with a slight chuckle.

Briar blushed, a mixture of awkwardness and embarrassment on his face. “Uhh- No comment-“ He said quickly, giggling nervously.

Lawrence raised an eyebrow. ‘Tell me~’ he said, trying not to laugh at his reaction.

“Uhh- Amy? You- You done with m-my order??” Briar said with an embarrassed laugh, looking over to see her poke her head out. “Almost!” Amy replied, coming out with a basket. “So, what’s your plan now? What’re you two doing now that you’re not King anymore?” “We’re just, takin’ it slow- Found a nice place in the woods that’s nearby~” Briar said, smiling.

'Amy, could you please tell me what Briar said about me?' Lawrence said, ruffling Briar's hair with a teasing smile.

“About what-“ “OKAY, HUN, let’s- let’s get going!” Briar said, quickly laying and taking the basket from Amy. “C’mon, we’ve got wine to- to buy!” He quickly started walking over to Glory, his face bright red with embarrassment. He couldn’t tell Lawrence all the thoughts he had about him- God, it was too embarrassing to even think!

Lawrence raised an eyebrow and laughed, following him. He waved to Amy and walked to Cameron. 'What was that about, love?' -
“Sorry, it’s- I’ll tell you later,” Briar said with an embarrassed chuckle, sighing softly. “It’s just a little embarrassing to say out loud, is all,” he murmured quietly, trying to hide the smile on his face.

Lawrence chuckled, ruffling his hair. 'Alright. Let's go get that cake.'

Briar exhaled, leaning into Lawrence’s touch. “What kind of cake were you thinking?” He asked, attaching the basket to Glory’s saddle and walking off again.

Lawrence smiled and wrapped an arm around him, pulling him close as he led Cameron. 'Chocolate. Or whatever you want.'

“Ooh, chocolate’s good- Or maybe red velvet?” Briar said, leaning into Lawrence’s side with a smile.

'I don't mind,' Lawrence chuckled, leaning his head on his shoulder.
