“Really?” Lucy asked, forcing a disappointed and guilty look onto her face. “Oh, it’s my fault, isn’t it- God, I knew I was being too overbearing, I’m so sorry- Jesus, Lucy, you’re such an idiot…”

“What?” Nick frowned, shaking his head quickly. “No! No! I- y’know, I take it back, forget what I said-“

“No! it’s fine, I get it,” Lucy said, sighing softly. “If you don’t want to have sex with me, we don’t have to-“

“What- no, I didn’t say that,” Nick frowned, shaking his head quickly. “I’m sorry- I didn’t mean it like that-“

“So, you want to?” Lucy asked quietly, brushing strands of hair out of her face. “I- I wouldn’t wanna force you or anything-“

“Yeah! Yeah, I don’t wanna make you unhappy,” Nick said with a small, forced smile.

Lucy smirked, giggling softly as she rubbed his ankle with her foot. “Then let’s pay and get our of here~” -

“Yeah, right,” Nick said with a nod, looking over and raising his hand to wave Karl down. -
Karl glanced over and smiled, waving back at Nick. Lucy looked over and quickly moved to Nick’s side, grabbing his waving hand and intertwining their fingers together as she kissed his cheek. “C’mon, let’s go~”

“I’ve gotta pay, that’s why I was trying to get the waiters attention,” Nick said with a small frown.

“Right, yeah-“ Lucy said with a hint of annoyance, watching Karl walk over. “Y’all heading out?” Karl asked with a smile, pulling out the check book and handing it to Nick.

“Yeah,” Nick nodded, putting his card into the small book and handing it back to Karl. “Thanks-

“You’re welcome~ I’ll be back in just a moment,” Karl said, waving at Nick before walking off. Lucy subtly glared at Karl, letting go of Nick’s hand to wrap her arm around his waist and kiss his cheek.

Nick smiled nervously, wrapping his arm around Lucy as he waited for Karl.
