"Seriously you guys, don't crowd him-" "Here, give me your number, George~" The brunette said with a smile, holding out her phone too. Clay sighed, turning away since he was just being ignored. "You'll definitely have fun at the party, since we'll be there~" -
(oh okay phew lol)
“Do you need a ride?” The blonde asked, smiling innocently. “Uh, no, Clays driving me,” George said, gesturing to Clay and glancing at him as he handed the brunette her phone back. -
"Right, you're coming too, Clay," the brunette said in a bored voice, turning her attention back to George. "So, we on to go exploring town? How about today, if you're not busy~?" Clay glanced over at George, his chest tight. f---, why does my chest hurt, watching him right now??

“Uh, I’m busy today, actually,” George interjected, running a hand through his hair. “What are you doing?” Josie asked, tilting her head curiously. “Uh, stuff,” he replied, shrugging. “How about tomorrow, though?” He suggested.

"Aww, boo- That's fine, we get it~" The brunette said with a sigh, giggling softly. Clay looked away, going back to his lunch.

George chuckled awkwardly, nodding. “Thanks. So, when was that homework due?” He said, turning to Clay and taking a bite of his food.

“Uhm- The end of the week,” Clay replied, his face turning red a bit. “I mean, I- I kind of get what I’m doing, but some of it’s a bit confusing-“

“Ohh, gotcha,” George said with a nod, taking a bite of his food. “This food is kinda fire, though- is it like this all the time?”

“Yeah- the food is like, one of the only good things about this place,” Clay replied with a chuckle, watching George for a moment with a smile. “Also, I uh, I wasn’t aware you had plans- Like, it’s your second day here, what do you have going on?”

“Oh- I’m taking a nap,” George said with a chuckle, leaning a little closer to Clay.

Clay laughed, smiling. “Smart move, dude,” he said, leaning closer until their arms touched. “I mean, I’m sure you’re still jet-lagged as hell, so you definitely should rest up,” he added, chuckling.

“Yeah, that’s what I’ve been thinking,” George said with a chuckle, taking a bite of his food. Josie heard that he had said. Feeling offended and bored, she stood and left, the freshman following her.

The brunette followed her, also having gotten bored. “Honestly, a nap sounds great,” Clay said with a chuckle, taking a bite of his own food. He groaned, rubbing his face with his free hand. “I’ve gotta get a head start on my work, though.”

“Yeah, that’s fair,” George shrugged. “I think the teachers pity me, because I have like no work at all.”

“Uh- Lucky b------,” Clay said, chuckling softly. “I like, always get overwhelmed with homework and s---. So f---ing annoying.” He exhaled and moved his tray to the side, resting his arms on the table. “It’s just a lot sometimes, all these responsibilities.”
