“Oh, okay good,” Nick said with a chuckle, blowing out a breath in relief. “Scared me for a second there.”

Karl giggled, grabbing Nick's hands. "Sorry if I worded that wrong," he said, chuckling softly. "But seriously, we should do something fun this summer! Maybe we could see if Evan and Connor wanted to go somewhere with us-" He gasped, smiling. "We should do a beach trip!"

Nick smiled, nodding. “We should definitely do that. But isn’t the closest beach like, three hours away?”

"Yeah- We could all pool our money and rent a beach house or something," Karl replied, chuckling.

“Yes, we should definitely do that,” Nick nodded, giggling softly. “I’ll ask Conner and Evan if they can when I see them.”

Karl giggled happily, smiling. "Awesome~" "Here's your orders, boys," Steph said as she walked back over, carrying two plates. "Let me know if you need anything else, 'kay?" Karl nodded, watching Steph leave before grabbing the syrup cup. He opened it and began pouring maple syrup on his waffle, humming softly.

Nick thanked her again, also opening his syrup cup and cutting up his pancakes once they were covered.

Karl hummed for a moment before beginning to cut up his waffles, taking a bite. "Mmm, Waffle House waffles are so good~" He said with a chuckle after swallowing, smiling.

“Specifically Waffle House, or any waffles?” Nick asked, giggling.

"I mean, all waffles are good- But Waffle House waffles are extra good~" Karl replied, giggling. He took another bite, smiling. He took a sip of his sweet tea, humming softly.

“Maybe I could try and make some and outdo Waffle House,” Nick said with a chuckle, taking a bite of his pancakes.

"Ooh- I'd love to try waffles you make~" Karl replied, smiling. He switched to taking a bite of his hash browns, humming softly.

Nick smiled. “I bet I could do better than Waffle House,” He bragged quietly, pointing at Karl with his fork as he chewed.
