“I know, hun,” Nick said softly, gently rocking Karl. “You are a good person, hun. You really are. I understand it’s hard for you sometimes. But I can see how hard you’re trying, it’s okay.”

Karl exhaled shakily, resting his head on Nick's shoulder. "I really shouldn't have had that extra glass," he mumbled, chuckling awkwardly.

“Yeah, you really shouldn’t have,” Nick said with a. quiet chuckle. “I didn’t wanna baby you, though. You are honestly a fun when you’re wine drunk.”

Karl groaned, a cringed look on his face. "I was a f---in' ass, that's what I was," he muttered, sighing. "I'm really sorry for trying to force myself onto you," he murmured softly, slightly gripping onto Nick's shirt.

“Mm, it’s okay baby, I still love you,” Nick said with a smile, rubbing Karl’s back gently.

Karl exhaled, lifting his head. He pressed a short kiss on Nick's forehead, a small smile on his face. "I'm glad you forgive me," he spoke softly, grabbing the glass of water he'd set down earlier. He picked it up and took a long sip, setting it back down after.

“I’ll always forgive you, hun,” Nick said with a small smile, watching Karl. “Do you wanna watch a movie?”

"Sure, though I may end up falling asleep in the middle of it," Karl replied, chuckling softly. "You can still pick, I don't have any ideas."

“Alright,” Nick said with a chuckle, sitting against the headboard and opening his laptop. He put Cars on, wrapping an arm around Karl.

Karl curled up against Nick's side, hugging onto him. He exhaled softly and rested his head on his shoulder, staring at the laptop screen.

Nick hummed happily, wrapping an arm around Karl’s shoulders and turning his attention to the movie.

Karl yawned softly, hugging Nick close as he watched the movie.

Nick smiled, glancing over to Karl and pressing a kiss onto his head.

Karl tried to smile back, but whether it was from exhaustion or guilt, he couldn't. He just curled closer to Nick, exhaling softly.

Nick stirred awake a little, tightening his grip on Karl. The brunette had been right - he had fallen asleep halfway through the movie. But he honestly didn’t mind, it was kind of cute.
