Billie crawled out of the closet and stood up, hugging Emit to his chest. ‘I’m fine,’ he mumbled, expression unreadable. ‘Thanks, I guess.’

imsoclueless Senior"You're welcome," Onyx muttered awkwardly, turning away to hide their embarrassed face. Why are you being kind, when you know exactly what happens when you're nice to someone- They groaned softly and walked back over to their bed, sitting and laying down. "Now be quiet, I'm tired."

Bee was hoping her ankle stopped hurting soon so she could walk. It reminded her of when her mom broke her hand. It was just an accident, but it hurt a lot and it made everything difficult.

Havyn looked at the two of them. What was with the two of them being so awkward?

Billie sat on the floor next to the spare bed, running his hand down the head of his bunny. He cuddled his legs to his chest, before glancing at Harley, noticing she was looking at him. His face remained expressionless as he looked back down at his stuffed rabbit.

imsoclueless SeniorOnyx sighed with relief at the volume level of the room, curling up into a ball on the bed. Finally, I can hear myself think, they thought, closing their eyes for a moment.

Bee searched through the cushions on the couch and found a quarter. She was overjoyed. She looked around then put it in her pocket.

Harley's eyes locked with Billie's for a moment and she quickly looked away with a scowl.

Billie didn’t understand why Harley was mad at him. He stood up and sat on the spare bed, back to the other two kids. He lay down on his side, snuggling Emit close.

Bee laid down on the couch. There wasn't much else she could do when her foot hurt so much. She decided to go to sleep

"What is with you and that doll?" Harley asked. She didn't mean for it to come out with a mean edge to it, but it did.

Billie froze. He rolled over on his back and turned his head so he could look at Harley. ‘His name is Emit,’ he said simply.

Onyx subconsciously listened to the two kids talk, not meaning to listen in. But how could they not, they were in the same room together.

As Bee slept she had a dream. The new kids at the orphanage were sitting in three different places, a dark house, a lab, and a burning building. It was oddly silent. Then there were screams, thousands of screams. It was overwhelming. Bee held her ears in anguish within her dream.
