Harley closed her eyes, exhaling sharply. This place was a nightmare already.

Billie huffed at the sound of the screaming. ‘Make it stop!’ he shouted, opening the closet door and sitting inside it to hide from Marta.

Bee hid under a table as Marta stormed up the stairs. "What are y'all doing to this poor baby? She's wailing like a siren!" Marta shouted. Sylvie shouted "Bunny!"

Havyn winced as the yelling continued. Did this kid ever shut the hell up?

Billie pressed himself against the back of the closet, shutting the door. He hid himself in amongst the clothes, holding Emit to his chest. He wasn’t going to let anyone take Emit.

imsoclueless Senior"God, this is so annoying-" Onyx muttered, glaring at the screaming kid. "Leave him alone, it's not your stupid f---ing bunny! And shut up, I'm tired and your blabbering is so loud!"

"now then kids, I ought to tell you. Here at saint Asclene's home for orphaned children we share all our toys." Marta said in a condescending tone. Bee walked over to her bed while Marta was occupied and put yessica underneath her pillow for safekeeping.

Harley glared at the woman- Marta, was it? She hated that condescending tone. It was the same tone any adult would use whenever she tried to explain anything because 'oh, you're just a child so you don't really know anything about what's actually happening. Leave this to the adults, sweetie' type voice.

Billie listened through the door, trying to keep as quiet as possible. He remembered hiding in the lab before a session and getting punished. He couldn't get caught.

imsoclueless Senior"But the kid came with the stupid toy, so he should be able to keep it," Onyx spoke in a harsh tone, glaring at the lady. Martha? Mary? Whatever her name was, they didn't care. All of a sudden an overprotective-ness rose in them for some reason. Maybe they secretly liked the others, or maybe they just hated snobby, condescending adults who act like they know better, but they moved off their bed, keeping their glare on the lady. "So if they came with the bunny, it's theirs."

"just because you came here with a toy doesn't mean you can't share. Everyone shares, even Sylvie. Are you telling me you all can't be more mature and share?" Marta says in a condescending tone. Bee peaks up from the floor. She holds up a doodle board. It reads "she won't stop bothering you" with an arrow pointing to Marta.

Harley looked at the board, squinting at it for a second- Jesus, did she need glasses?- and then looking back at the condescending woman. She looked back at the kid Marta was talking down to. She didn't particularly care what this kid said next, so long at Marta shut up.

'No sharing!' Billie shouted from the closet, holding Emit tightly. He usually would've stayed silent, but his young mind was too upset to think straight. Emit was his. He wasn't going to share with a girl who had chewed on the hair of the loud girl's doll.
