Onyx hugged their legs to their chest as they stared at the table, exhaling as they zoned out.

"how long do you two plan to stay in my kitchen? Go meet the other kids." Marta said. Bee was confused as to why the other child looked at her. Maybe it was in solidarity of the doll stealing.

Harley looked up at Marta. "Do I have to?"

Billie lay down, curling up in the blankets. He held Emit to his chest and stared at the wall.

Onyx stood, abandoning their bowl and leaving the kitchen. They went back up to the bedroom, going and sitting on their bed.

"you should talk, you're only a little girl. I think you ought to make some friends." Marta said. Bee tried to get up and was successfully able to hop on one foot to the bottom of the stairs.

Harley glared at being called a little girl. She was hardly little. "Fine." She said before standing up and walking out.

Billie hugged Emit to his chest, staring at the wall blankly with the blankets up to his nose.

Onyx laid down in their bed, trying to fall asleep and pray that this was just a dream, and that this wasn’t their new life.

Bee sat on the stairs as a horde of other children fought for her seat on the couch. Bee didn't like that. If you left things unattended everyone would try to take what was yours.

Harley looked around at the other kids, growing more and more irritated by them before walking up to their room.

Billie attempted to fall asleep again. It didn’t work. He stood up and ran down the stairs, avoiding the rest of the kids. He walked past Bee with his stuffed bunny in his arms and towards the door. He pushed it open and walked outside, sat in the grass and looked for bugs. He liked bugs.

Onyx glanced over when Billie left, watching him for a moment before rolling back over, trying to go to sleep.

Bee saw one of the new kids walk past her to the outside. She hopped over to the door. She closed the door carefully. Bee approached Billie. "Um, hi." Bee said. Bee wanted to try talking to someone from that group. This seemed like a good way to go about it.
