‘Close your eyes and take some deep breaths,’ Quinn advised, gently rubbing the cloth against his skin. ‘I don’t have any painkillers, I’m afraid. I’m better at tending to droids than actual people.’
-
"All good," Elliot replied, taking a few deep breaths. He examined his leg, cringing at the sight. "Ugh, I'm not gonna be able to walk for a few weeks..."
-
‘I can fix you up a crutch, if you think so,’ Quinn said, still cleaning his wound.
-
"What I really need is a place to lay low," Elliot mumbled, running a hand through his hair. "No doubt he'll find me again if I try to go out like this." He gestured to his leg, leaning back against the couch.
-
Quinn nodded, considering that. ‘Why is he chasing you, anyway? I mean, it doesn’t seem legal and all to stalk a guy and threaten him with a gun.’
-
"Yeah, because it's not," Elliot muttered, rolling his eyes. He sighed and sat up a bit, crossing his arms across his chest. "Not like my situation is any better." He opened his mouth to speak but stopped himself, looking away.
-
Quinn sighed, bandaging up Elliot’s wound. He didn’t say anything.
-
"I uh, I hate to ask you for anything else, but uh, you got anything to drink?" He asked with an awkward chuckle, running a hand through his hair. "Running away from some guy tryin' to murder you."
-
Quinn laughed quietly. ‘Of course,’ he finished bandaging Elliot’s wound, which was hard to do with one arm, and stood up. ‘Do you have any preferences?’
-
"Just water," Elliot replied, glancing over at Quinn. He glanced down, looking at his arm with wide eyes. "Oh my God- what- did that- did that happen earlier??" He squinted and leaned forward, realizing the hole in the arm wasn't a normal wound. "W-Wait-"
-
Quinn flushed in embarrassment. ‘It’s a prosthetic,’ he said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. ‘When the guy shot me he completely fried the circuits.’
-
"Oh-" Elliot replied, chuckling awkwardly. "That makes more sense," he added, crossing his arms over his chest. "Are you gonna be able to fix it?"
-
Quinn shrugged. ‘I’m not too sure, but most likely. I can fix pretty much anything,’ he said, grabbing Elliott a cup of water.
-
Elliot nodded as he took the cup of water in his hand, taking a sip. "Thank you," he replied with a nod, a small smile appearing on his face.
-
Quinn nodded with a smile, sitting next to him. ‘All good. Do you need anything else?’
