“No, no, Karl,” Nick said softly, gently brushing hair out of his eyes. “You don’t have a good family, hun, and I’m sorry you don’t, but it’s not okay to wish that you do. You wouldn’t be wishing for a better family if your parents were better, right?”

Karl sighed and squeezed his eyes shut, leaning closer to Nick. "I just hate- hate how, I-I try so f---ing hard to appease my parents, but- but no matter what I d-do, it's- it's never enough," he said in a small voice, shaking. "And I- I know I shouldn't let t-their opinions and ex-expectations take over, but- it's so f---ing hard and so stressful..." -

“I know, I know,” Nick said softly, rubbing Karl’s back. “Parents are like- y’know, they’re supposed to be your role model in life, and like, you always want them to be proud of you, and that’s normal, okay? It’s gonna be hard because all you want is a happy family, and I’m sorry you can’t get that. You really don’t deserve a s---ty family, because you are such an amazing person.” -

Karl smiled and clung to Nick tighter, burying his head in his boyfriend's chest. He took a few deep breaths, calming down and trying to stop shaking. "I'm glad I have you," he said, his voice muffled. "You're probably the best family I have right now." -

yeah we had a really bad thunderstorm yesterday, my poor dog was freaking out 😭)
Nick smiled softly, rubbing Karl’s back and running a hand through his hair. “I love you, hon.” He said softly. “I’m honored that you consider me family,” He said quietly, gently leading Karl over to his bed to sit down. -

Karl followed Nick over to the bed and sat down, leaning against his side. "I mean, you're the only one who actually gave a s--- about me and my well being, so I'm so very thankful for you~" He giggled softly, wiping away tears. -

Nick giggled softly, placing his hands on Karl’s cheeks and wiping his tears away with his thumbs. “Well, I’m even more thankful for you and how much you’ve brightened my life.” -

Karl smiled, resting his hands on Nick's hands. "I'm glad I made your life even a little bit brighter~" He said, giggling. He leaned forward and pressed a kiss on his lips, staying close to his face with their noses touching. "You brightened my life, too, whether you think so or not. I- I was in a very, very dark place, but you rescued me from it, and for that, I'm so grateful~" -

yeah we had to bring my dog with us in the car because he would’ve been home alone other wise 😭)
Nick giggled, kissing Karl after he finished his sentence. “I’m so glad I could, because I couldn’t imagine my life without you. I love you so much.” -

"I love you so much~" Karl said with a bright smile, the sadness he felt washed away. He kissed Nick again, pressing their bodies together. -
Nick smiled into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Karl and holding them together.
