Alanine got into the line for hot meals,as she was going to be foraging during dinner time and she was just going to eat in the woods.The line was very long and Alanine,having a short attention span,decided to talk to the person in front of her.
“Hey!” she said.”How are you?” -
Florence tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and turned to the face who had just spoken to her. "I'm alright I suppose, and you?"

“Yeah,pretty good,” Alanine said.”Anyways,this line was pretty long so I figured that I would start a conversation or something.”

Florence gave an awkward smile. "Right"

Alanine blushed.”I mean,like,I have a short attention span,sorry,that was embarrassing.” She blushed again.

Florence blushed as well. "It's fine"

“Thanks.” Alanine replied.Then she looked in her bag and pulled out a handful of gigantic,juicy-looking strawberries.”You want some?”

Florence grinned. "Are..are you sure?" She asked eyes widening at the fresh fruit.

(Sorry I was busy cuz of school)
“Yeah,I’m sure!” Alanine said.”I can always just go foraging for them later,they’re easy for me.Take as much as you want.” She held the strawberries out. -
Florence was wary-as you should be if a stranger offers you food- but her greediness got the better of her and she snatched a couple of the strawberries and tucked them in her satchel so she could share them out later. "Thank you so much" she smiled gratefully.

“Don’t mention it,” Alanine said.The strawberries were more of an uncommon treat,as they weren’t very common,but she didn’t care.Sharing with the less fortunate made her feel good.

The line seemed to move quickly after that and soon enough the two girls were near enough to the front that they could smell the wafts of cooked meat and potatoes, though Florence knew she would only be able to afford the vegetable stew because of how many people their was at home. She sighed stuffing her hand in her satchel and counting how many coins she had.

Alanine noticed Florence sighing and counting her coins.She must not have enough money!
“Hey,are you okay?Do you need me to pay for you?It’s okay,I have a lot of money.” -
Florence bit her lip. She knew it was wrong to accept money from people she didn't know and her mother hated charity. "Thank you so much, really but I've got enough"

“Well,if you insist…” Alanine said,her smile slowly fading.She quickly got her large cheesy lasagna and paid for it,then started to head home.
