Mahina seemed very interested in her shoes. She didn’t respond, but her grip on Ernest’s hand tightened slightly.

Ernie sighed, squeezing her hand gently.

Mahina didn’t say anything. Selene sighed.
‘Eat, then we’ll talk,’ she said. She rubbed Mahina’s shoulder with her thumb before walking into the bedroom. -
Ernest shuffled closer to Mahina.

Mahina leaned her head on his shoulder and began to eat, sighing softly.

Ernest let her, holding her with one hand and eating his food with the other.

Mahina squeezed his hand every once in a while.

Ernie looked at her. "You alright?" He asked softly.

Mahina nodded, squeezing his hand again.

Ernest kissed the top of her head.

Mahina blushed, smiling.

Ernie smiled back.

Mahina turned back to her food, the smile wiping off her mouth.

Ernest finished his food.

Mahina did the same and rested her head back on his shoulder.
