"Oh my god." Ernie murmured. "I'm so, so sorry."

Mahina looked at Ernest, then Selene again. ‘Wh-What do you mean?’
‘I mean that a whole month did not pass. That’s why you’re so suddenly skinny!’ Selene said, squeezing Mahina’s arm. ‘Callisto must’ve put some spell that affected the time in the outside world. She must’ve slowed time here, but in reality a whole month had passed…’
Mahina paled. ‘That’s a thing?’ -
Ernie covered his agape mouth with his hand, eyes wide in horror. "That's insane!" He cried.

Selene balled her fists. 'When I catch that snake, I swear-'
'Calm down,' Mahina said. 'It wasn't that bad!' -
"You were stuck there for months, Mahina! Don't go telling us it wasn't that bad!" Ernest tried to wrap his head around the fact that Callisto manipulated time itself. Did that happen often? Was he much, much older than he realized?

Mahina looked down, rubbing the back of her neck. 'Still...' she mumbled.

"What did she do?" Ernie asked, voice heavily laced with concern now. He knew he ought to calm down enough to not sound so worried, but he also knew that wouldn't happen for a while.

Mahina avoided his gaze. 'It doesn't matter.'
'Nina, tell us, now,' Selene said, putting a hand on her shoulder. -
Ernest grabbed her hand. "Please?" He asked quietly.

Mahina didn't respond, keeping her eyes on her feet.

Ernie shot Selene a look, wondering if he should press the issue or not, before turning back to Mahina. "Please, you've got me worried now."

Mahina fiddled with the hand Ernest held, still not responding. -
Ernest sighed, squeezing her hand. "Fine, just promise it was nothing too bad, alright?"
