Callisto huffed before turning to Mahina. "Well?"

Mahina looked at Ernest, then at Callisto. She didn’t respond.

Callisto was growing impatient, and it showed in her face. "Choose, or I'll choose for you."
"Hey, give her time." Ernest snapped. -
Mahina looked down. ‘I-I’ll go.’

Ernie's eyes widened. Callisto smirked.

Mahina looked up at Ernest.

Ernest looked at her sadly before wrapping her in a hug.

Mahina’s eyes welled with tears as she buried her face in his shirt.

Ernest tried hard to fight back tears himself. "Hey, hey, don't cry, please." He whispered. "I'll see you soon, I promise."

Mahina wrapped her arms around him, trying to fight a sob.
‘No you won’t,’ Callisto said, smirking. -
Ernie held her close, looking up at Selene with a glare. "Just you wait." He said quietly so she couldn't hear.

Mahina held onto him tighter.

Ernest kissed the top of her head. "It's alright." He murmured. "It'll be alright."

Callisto rolled her eyes. ‘Hurry up, you two.’

Ernie glared at Callisto. "Give us a minute."
