Mahina scratched behind Gloria’s ears. ‘Told you you would like it here,’ she said to Ernest smugly.

"Yeah, yeah, I like it here." Ernie chuckled. "You were right, congratulations."

Mahina nodded, smirking. ‘Thank you,’ she said.

Ernest smiled. Finn bumped his hand with his nose. "Fine, I'll keep petting you, jeez!"

Finn wagged his tail happily. "I miiight keep your dog forever." Ernie joked.

‘No!’ Mahina laughed.

"Why not?" Ernest asked innocently. "I'll take good care of him, I promise!"

‘No! My dog!’ Mahina said, cuddling Finn.

"Fine, we can share him." Ernie laughed. "Now let go of the poor dog."

Mahina chuckled and let him go.

Ernest hugged Finn. "My dog." He whispered.

"You weren't supposed to hear that!" Ernie laughed.
