"Hey, it's alright." Ernest murmured. "You'll feel better soon."

Mahina’s eyes were wide. She whimpered.

"I'm right here." Ernie said softly. "I'm right here, next to you, alright?"

Mahina whimpered again, staring up at the ceiling.

Ernest looked up at the ceiling too. He didn't see anything. He looked back down at her.

Mahina’s breath quickened. ‘No, please, no,’ she whimpered.

Ernie frowned, holding her tighter. "It's alright, it's alright." He said quickly.

Mahina covered her face with her arms, crying.

Ernest hated seeing her cry. It made him want to cry too. He looked up at Selene, wanting to know if she was done yet.

Selene was working frantically. She looked down at Mahina every now and then.

Ernie looked back down at Mahina, pulling her arms away from her face and wiping her tears with his thumb.

Mahina looked just past him with wide eyes. She whimpered.

"Shhh, it's alright." Ernest murmured. "I got you."

Mahina sobbed uncontrollably.

Ernie's eyes welled up with tears himself. "Hey, no, no crying, please." He made a note to do a lot worse to Callisto than just punch her next time he got the chance.
