Naida was sitting in an alleyway.

Ernest found her. "You alright?" He asked, leaning against one of the building walls.

Naida looked up at him. ‘I’m fine. Is your girlfriend OK?’

"Pretty sure she's fine. Just... Exhausted." He hoped she'd be alright by the next day.

Naida nodded. ‘Was it the running that tired her out?’

Ernest shrugged. "I think she gets pretty worn out from using a lot of spells too, but I've only really seen her use magic a couple of times."

‘That makes sense. Are you alright?’

Ernie nodded. "Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?"

‘Just making sure. I feel like I’m kind of at service to you now. And Mahina.’

"Oh please. You don't have to worry about us." Ernest chuckled.

Naida smiled. ‘Alright, then.’

Ernie grinned. "You sure you're alright in this town? I can take you to another one if you don't like this one."

Naida nodded. ‘I’ll be fine. I can make do.’

Ernest raised an eyebrow. "What's that supposed to mean?"
