Chester frowned, eyes scanning over a couple staring townsfolk. ‘You sure?’

Jayden sighed. “I have a small hunch.” He said quietly. “Just… pretend that they’re not there, ok?”

Chester frowned, but looked away from them. ‘Alright. What is this hunch, then?’

“They’re either not all that accepting, they’ve read the papers about you, they’re supporters of Astrid and the directors, or all three.” Jayden said, keeping his voice down.

Chester nodded slowly, eyes glued ahead of him. ‘Ah. Right.’ He glanced to a group of large men and pulled Jayden closer.

Jayden noticed. “Chester, stop being so nervous, it’s fine.” He murmured. He heard the telltale signs of cameras shuttering. “The reporters are here.” He groaned.

‘I’m just being cautious,’ Chester murmured, looking around. He pulled Jayden into a nearby alleyway.

“I know.” Jayd couldn’t blame him. He was thrown into a completely different kingdom and citizen dynamic than he was used to. He had every right to be cautious. Jayden ran into the alley. “What’re you doing?”

‘You said the reporters are here,’ Chester said, voice low as he pressed himself and Jayden against the wall. ‘Either we’ll get killed by some gang or the reporters will go away.’

Jayd blushed slightly as Chester pressed him against the wall. “Ok.” He whispered.

Chester glanced at him and smirked. ‘Good make out spot, isn’t it?’ he teased.

Jayden rolled his eyes. “Shut up.” He whispered, smiling.

Chester smirked, and after a few moment he murmured, ‘You think it’s safe to go out?’

Jayden poked his head out. “Nothing other than a couple townspeople.” He said with a small nod.

Chester looked out and nodded. ‘Alrighty,’ he said, stepping back. He glanced further into the alleyway and noticed a large group of men, maybe in their late 20s. He narrowed their eyes at them before turning back to Jayden. ‘Shall we go, my love?’
