‘Does he actually, y’know..’ Chester mumbled. ‘Make people regret it?’

"Depends on what they do." Jayden wanted to make his boyfriend happier, but also didn't want to sugarcoat anything.

‘Do you have any examples?’

"Uh... N-no." Jayden said quietly.

Chester whimpered, curling up slightly. ‘Please?’

Jayden sighed. "Not now, ok?" He kissed his cheek. "He won't do it to you, I'll make sure of it."

It wasn’t that Chester didn’t trust Jayden - he trusted his boyfriend with his life - but the fact Astrid had a history of being a new level of horrible to his victims… that scared him deeply. He cuddled against Jayden. ‘A-Alright.’ -

Jayden wrapped his arms around Chester. "You'll be ok." He whispered. -
Chester nodded, nuzzling against him.

‘Yeah?’ Chester mumbled.

“I love you. No matter what happens.” Jayden figured he ought to set that straight since he was going to have to manipulate him soon enough.

Chester kissed his neck, pulling himself closer. ‘I love you too. No matter what.’

Jayd snuggled into him.
