“It’s ok.” Jayden said quietly.

Chester sighed. ‘So, um, yeah. That’s how it happened.’

Jayd gave a small nod. “Ok.” He whispered.

'Does that make you more or less mad at me?'

Jayden shrugged. “I mean, it’s not like you intentionally kept kissing her or anything….”

Chester smiled weakly. 'I guess...'

Jayd raised an eyebrow. “What’s that supposed to mean?..”

'Hm?'

“When you said you guess?” Jayden shrugged. “Never mind.”

Chester rolled onto his back.

Jayden stared up at the ceiling before turning his attention back to the book.

Chester counted the amount of bumps in the ceiling.

Jayd looked at Chester occasionally. “Do you still want to come to my kingdom after we sign the treaty?”

Chester nodded. 'Of course. Do you still want me there?'
