Jayd would’ve hung up then and there if he wasn’t aware of the consequences he’d end up with once he got home. “Is this all you called me for?” He said after a moment, trying to hide his anger.

‘Yes! You’ve messed everything up for us!’
Chester hated how he had butterflies when Beatrice kissed him. He knew he wasn’t completely over her, but her kissing him still made him uncomfortable. It wasn’t the good kind of butterflies he got around Jayden. It was the ‘oh god I’m in trouble’ kind of butterflies. -
“Great. If that’s all this calls for, I’m hanging up.” Jayd left Caden on the call for a few more seconds.

Caden growled. ‘You’ll regret that!’
Beatrice eventually pulled away. ‘Are you sure you don’t want me, Chester?’
Chester nodded quickly. ‘Let me go, Beatrice,’ he said quietly. -
“Then what do you need to tell me so badly?!” Jayden said, frustrated.

‘I want you to understand how stupid you’ve been!’
Beatrice huffed and let him go, taking a step back. Chester took a step back as well. ‘Guards!’ he shouted. -
“Great! Caden, I’ve been an absolute idiot and I’m very sorry for the dumb decisions I’ve made while Your Brilliancy was doing whatever you were doing. Can I hang up now?” Jayden knew how sassy he sounded. He didn’t care.

‘You’ll regret that, you little-‘

“That wasn’t a no….” Jayd hung up quickly. He knew Caden would probably call him again, but didn’t care yet again. He walked out of the room.

Two guards came and arrested Beatrice. Chester sighed, rubbing his temples as Beatrice was forced off castle grounds. Chester walked back into the castle.

Jayden saw Chester, giving a small smile. “Hey!…” his smile faded when he saw Chester’s facial expression. “What happened?”

Chester looked up, and forced a smile. ‘Nothing. I’m fine. What did your director say?’

“Nothing important.” Jayden lied-or rather, half truthed. He knew Chester’s smile was a fake one, and frowned.

Chester nodded. ‘If you say so.’

Jayd looked up at Chester. “You sure you’re ok?”
