Jayden realized what he meant. "Oh, that wasn't luck, beautiful."

‘What was it, then?’ Chester murmured, smiling.

Jayd shrugged. "I don't know, but it certainly wasn't luck. At least, not for you."

‘Oh?’ Chester said with a chuckle. ‘How so?’

"Well, you're so pretty, and nice and charming- no arguments- and sweet. Of course I'd like you. Pure luck that you liked me back."

Chester blushed a little. He kissed Jayden’s cheek. ‘Not really,’ he said. ‘You’re all of the above - but you’re also smart, and insanely attractive, and you look better in a suit than practically anyone.’

Jayd raised an eyebrow. "Smart? Really? You're going to stick with that? Besides, you look way better in a suit than I ever will, beautiful."

‘Well, I didn’t know that some kind of salt makes candles blue,’ Chester said with a chuckle. ‘You’re very intelligent, actually. And the part about me looking better in a suit is false news, darling,’ he said, booping his nose.

Jayden rolled his eyes. "I researched it for a prank. And you do! Trust me, you do."

‘I trust you love, but I can’t believe you in that,’ Chester said, returning to his food.

Jayd sighed. "Well too bad, because it's true, you beautiful idiot."

Chester smiled. ‘Agree to disagree, my beloved.’

Jayden shook his head. "I can't believe you." He chuckled, eating more of his steak.

‘And I you, so…’

Jayd rolled his eyes.
