Hazel smiled for a second, then looked out in front of her and forced her expression to neutral. 'That's good.'

"I saw that smile!" Theo teased.

'What smile? I didn't smile,' Hazel protested.

"Don't play dumb, you totally smiled!"

'Did not!'

"Liar!"

'Am not!'

"But. You. SMILED!"

'You must be hallucinating.'

"Why are you even denying it?" Theo said, laughing. "It's my word against yours."

'Exactly, my word wins.'

"No way! Besides. there's no reason to even deny it!"

Hazel folded her arms, finishing off her bread roll and didn't say anything more on the topic.

Theo finished his as well, not saying anything either. Eventually they both got to the school.

'Hey, Nut,' one of the boys teased her as they entered the school ground.
'I'll kick your nuts,' Hazel snapped at him, making his friends laugh.
