"Yes because I'm your favorite sister in the whole wide world?"

'No. The answer is no, Lilla,' Hazel chuckled.

Lilla pouted. "Do you have makeup then?"

'Of course I own make up. But I'm not letting you use it,' Hazel said. 'You can try one of the cousins, though. And i think Jackie has some acrylics.' She wasn't sure if she should be stopping childish shenanigans, but she did want to see Jackie as a clown.

"Really, where?!" Lilla said excitedly.

'Jackie's acrylics are in his room,' Hazel said.

Lilla raced up the stairs.
"Poor Jackie." -
Hazel chuckled. 'Should I have stopped that?' she asked Theo.

Theo shrugged. "No, I want to see clown Jackie."

'Me too,' Hazel chuckled. She started walking up the stairs.

Theo followed, kicking a rubber ball that was on the stairs.

Hazel walked into her bedroom and sat on her bed, setting her backpack on the ground.

Theo put his backpack next to hers and sat by her, leaning against her bedframe.

Hazel smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder.
