"She's gone. Nothing is going to change that." Her dad said, sounding like he was trying SUPER hard to stay calm. "We can at least try and move on from it."

'Move on?! You've practically forgotten her!' Hazel shouted through her tears.

Theo scooted closer to Hazel, unsure of what to do to help her calm down.

Hazel's father didn't say anything. He just sighed. Hazel turned away.

Theo looked at Hazel sympathetically, wrapping an arm around her in a side hug.

Hazel's father said, 'Well, if that's all, you can go now.'

Theo looked at Hazel. "Do you want to go, or should we stay and talk to him more?" He said, pretty sure he already knew the answer.

'Let's go,' Hazel said, turning around.

Theo followed her up the stairs and sat down on his mattress.

Hazel said nothing and sat on her bed, knees cuddled to her chest.

Theo stood up and sat next to her. "I'm so sorry."

'For what?' Hazel asked quietly. 'You did nothing wrong.'

"I still feel bad." Theo responded. "That conversation didn't go super great."

'It didn't,' Hazel agreed with a sigh.

Theo looked at Hazel. "I'm sorry your dads acting so weird about this."
