The bell rang and Callum felt much sleepier than he had that morning, and walked out of the classroom.

Eli walked over to the lunchroom before realizing James was following them.
“What do you want?” They asked nervously. -
'Did you do this?' James asked, pointing to the marker on his face.
Callum was still walking to the cafeteria. -
“No.” Eli said quickly and nervously. “Why would you even think that?”

'Oh, I don't know,' James said sarcastically. 'Cos you're a freak.'

“But that doesn’t even make sense-“ Eli protested, and promptly got smacked across the face.

Callum had just walked in, and nearly bursted in anger. He stepped forward and punched James in the nose.

James stepped back for a second, face red with anger.
“You good for nothing freak!” He yelled. -
'Wanna bet?' Callum shouted, raising his fist again.

James’s face contorted with rage as he stepped up to Callum with his fist held up, ready to punch him.
“You leave him alone!” Eli yelled, shoving James. -
Callum clenched his jaw, still ready to punch James if need be.

All it did was make James even more angry. “You two are nothing but freaks!” He yelled.
“I’m aware.” Eli responded, glaring. -
'And that's supposed to be a bad thing? At least we're not bullies!'

“You good for nothing-“ James started before Eli shoved him again.
“You say one more thing about Callum and I will personally tear you apart.” Eli said, surprising themself. -
Callum's eyes widened. He'd never seen Eli get to aggressive. But, to be fair, he'd only know them a couple of days.
