Eli nodded, plastering a fake smile. Maybe if James didn't notice them it'd be ok....

Callum still frowned, but turned away.

Eli glanced at James, who definitely noticed them. He squeaked, almost shrinking as James walked up to them.

'Hello,' Callum said to James, not recognising him from the day before. 'Need something?'

James didn't answer Callums question, instead just grabbed Eli by the flannel.
"What d'you want James?" Eli asked trying to get out of James's grip. -
'Oi!' Callum said, standing. 'Let them go!'

"Why should I?" James snapped, gripping Eli even tighter. They tried to yank out of his grip, but it didn't work.

'Cos I'll punch you in the face if you don't.'

James looked Callum over before scoffing. "I'd like to see you try."
"Callum, stay out of it." Eli begged, not wanting their friend to get hurt, and promptly got punched in the stomach with James's free hand. -
'Alright,' Callum snapped angrily, taking a step forward. He raised his fist and punched James in the nose, who stumbled backwards, his grip on Eli releasing.

Eli yanked free from James's grip, trying not to show quite how scared they were.
"You little-" James started, stepping closer to Callum. -
'What?' Callum said, raising his chin determinedly. 'Say it.'

"You b----!" James said angrily, raising his fist up to punch Callum.
"Don't call him that!" Eli yelled. -
Callum narrowed his eyes at James. His fist was flying towards his face, though Callum seemed completely unaffected. When James' fist was dangerously close, it stopped middair, and James had a look of pure terror on his face.
'Wha- Why can't I move it?!' James shouted. -
Eli looked at Callum amazed. "X-men super powers." They muttered, only half joking. "So cool."
