Echo glanced down at the baby rabbit in his hand. It seemed wicked to leave an innocent creature to die, so she replied, 'Let's keep her.'
-
he hands the baby rabbit to her, picking a blade of grass and holding it out for it to eat, "well, we should get to sleep now, there will be a long day of walking tomorrow,"
-
'Yeah,' Echo said, setting her book down. She lay down, careful not to harm the tiny animal in the palm of her hand. The rabbit seemed tired, so didn't run away when Echo didn't hold it tight. She - Echo - closed her eyes and willed herself to have a dreamless sleep, no nightmares.
-
Heath grabs the rabbit and puts it in Echos shirt pocket so that it stays warm, then falls asleep himself
-
(because you didn't timeskip, eChO sHaLl HaVe NiGhTmArE!
I have the power 😂)
Echo woke up once again, sweating with shaky breathing. She felt a wriggling in her shirt pocket so she removed the rabbit from it and stroked her head to calm herself down, her breathing eventually slowing. -
(oml😂)
Heath woke up beside her and opened his eyes slowly, though not saying anything. he just waits for Echo to sort things out in her mind and fall asleep again,
(time skip now?) -
(yup)
Echo must've fallen asleep at some point, because she woke to the baby rabbit nibbling her cheek. She glanced at Heath then took the rabbit in her hands, sitting up slowly. -
Heath refuses to wake up again. his sleep paralasis demons are holding his eyeballs shut lmao
-
Echo poked Heath until he woke. 'Heath, wake up,' she said, resorting to aggressive elbowing.
-
"ugh, what?" he sits up and looks at Echo grumpily, "what do you need? i was having a good dream,"
-
'Lucky,' Echo mumbled, then replied, 'It's creepy being out here alone.'
-
"you're not alone," he hugs her, being careful not to squish Echo's new pet, "you have me,"
-
Echo leaned into the hug, comforted by this. 'Thank you,' she said quietly, 'for everything.'
-
"no problem,"
-
After a minute, the rabbit started wriggling in Echo's hands. She looked down at the small creature. 'She needs a name if we're going to keep her,' Echo said, mainly to herself.
